See All ReviewsOur first time at Sayulitas, lunch on a Thursday. Our server was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. Our orders were very good, especially the Vampiros.
Arrived around 6:30 on a Saturday night to celebrate my birthday with my husband. We were greeted by a very nice young lady who advised it would be 35-40 minutes for a table for 2, no problem, the aromas were enough for us to hang out and grab a drink while we waited. The house margarita on the rocks wax so darn good, I couldn’t wait to have dinner. We were seated at a nice table with a window view. It was a bit before our server made it to the table, but that was ok because we were still enjoying our drinks. That sweet hostess brought us some chips and salsa which were very good, the chips were still warm . Love that! Our waitress finally made it over and I was torn between 3 things, hubby already knew he wanted fajitas. I ended up order the asada fries for my entree upon our server’s recommendation. Our dinners arrived and they give you 3 small tortillas for the fajitas and charge $1 for 3 more, just so happens you need 6 to finish your meal. My an entree was nothing like described on the menu, no cheese and almost all peppers for the topping. I sent it back and asked for the enchiladas (there were five different ones included) the cheese wasn’t melted and everything was cold in the plate. At this point I am not sending anything back and just putting a big red x on this dining establishment. We will definitely stop in for drinks and maybe an appetizer but will not be ordering dinner here again.
This evening we ordered dinner using DoorDash. Simple order of things we've loved before: Asada Fries & Arroz Con Pollo. To our Surprise no Asada Fries showed up. Instead we got a veggie something. Called the restaurant, informed them. Their response: Take it up with DoorDash. This was after having them confirm the original order! Viewing the receipts, this is 100% on the restaurant, incorrect item prepared and sent. Poor customer experience. Never expected that. Never will patronize them again.
